GENERAL: Dark clouds have started to surface over the tanker
market as both the crude and product tanker market are down wo-w on the spot market. The second-hand market is still not affected much by the declining spot market, however, some Owners have started to reconsider their position as it’s now mainly the geopolitical situation that’s keeping second-hand prices up.
With geopolitics in focus, it will be an eventful short-term outlook for the tanker market with the new attacks in Iran, combined with a new sanctions package from US, UK, and EU that took place last week.
